Building campaigns that actually work

What we learned the hard way
Ехоdus started in 2021 when Fiona Kelleher noticed that most businesses were still treating email like a broadcast channel instead of a conversation. She'd spent years helping companies fix their campaigns after they'd already tanked their deliverability rates.
The problem wasn't technical knowledge. Most teams understood segmentation and A/B testing in theory. But they were missing the bigger picture of how subscribers actually interact with email over time.
We built our first course around one core idea: your email list is a living ecosystem. Every send changes the relationship. Every unsubscribe teaches you something. Understanding those dynamics matters more than knowing which subject line format performs better.
Since then, we've worked with over 1,200 marketers across New Zealand and Australia. We've seen inbox placement rates climb from 60% to 94%. We've watched small teams build automated sequences that actually feel personal.
Our approach focuses on sustainable growth instead of short-term metrics. We teach people how to write emails subscribers want to receive, how to segment based on behavior patterns that matter, and how to recover when campaigns don't work out as planned.
The goal isn't perfection. It's building a system that gets incrementally better with each campaign, where you understand why something worked or didn't, and where your list stays healthy as it grows.
How we actually teach this
Real campaign examples
We dissect actual campaigns that worked and ones that failed. You see the open rates, the unsubscribe spikes, the deliverability issues. No theoretical frameworks, just what happened and why it matters.
Implementation timelines
Every technique comes with realistic time estimates. Setting up proper segmentation takes three weeks, not three hours. We show you what to prioritize and what can wait until your list grows.
Troubleshooting guidance
When your open rates suddenly drop or your automation sequence stops converting, you need to know what to check first. We walk through diagnostic processes that pinpoint issues faster than guessing.
